Can I use the same password for all my Visa cards?
Yes, you can use the same password for all your Visa credit and debit cards.

Can I use my debit card PIN as my password?
No. You must select a password between 6-10 characters and which includes at least one number and one letter.

What if I forget my password?
Click “Forgot your password” on the Verified by Visa password window and follow the instructions provided. If you still can’t remember your password, please call the contact center toll free at (888) 918-7490 to request help. Representatives are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Can two people with a joint account use the same password, or should they register separately?
Each cardholder should register separately to establish a unique password.

What should I do if my Verified by Visa registration isn’t being accepted?
Try to register a second time, to be sure problems with your online connection aren’t the cause. If your registration will still not go through, call Member Services. Please leave up the screen where it stopped, should we have questions about it.

Once Verified by Visa is activated, will I use my password wherever I shop?
You will use your Verified by Visa password only at participating online merchants. A list of participating merchants is available at the Verified by Visa web site.

What happens when my Visa card expires?
As long as the card number does not change, your password is still valid and you will not need to re-register.

What happens if I lose or cancel my Visa card and get a new one with a different account number?
Your password will be transferred to the new account.

How many Visa credit card accounts can a cardholder register?
You may activate Verified by Visa on all of your Virginia Credit Union credit and debit cards.

What is a Personal Assurance Message?
A Personal Assurance Message, or Personal Message, that you create during registration, appears on the password screen when cardholders make purchases. This confirms that it’s an authentic Verified by Visa merchant and not an imposter. It may be from 1-30 characters in length and should not be the same as the password.
