Title: IT Security Engineer
Location: Richmond/Chesterfield
Class: Full-Time (40 hrs/week)

The Security Engineer provides technical leadership in designing, engineering, testing, and deploying security architectures, configurations, and controls to meet VACU security needs in desktop, server, network, and application environments.  

 

This position will analyze and resolve security breaches and vulnerability issues in a timely and accurate fashion, and conduct user activity audits where required.  The selected candidate will be responsible for the implementation and daily monitoring of information security controls and work with the Information Technology staff and the Information Security Analyst to assess system security and ensure industry-standard security related technologies, techniques and practices are in place.

 

Must have broad and significant technical knowledge and prior hands-on experience of defense-in-depth methodologies. Security approaches should include the following: application security; IPSec and VPN; IDS/IPS; firewall configuration; data encryption; Email and external messaging protocols; penetration testing; incident handling/response; security auditing; SSL Certificates; wireless security.

 

Bachelor’s degree in the field of computer science, information security and/or equivalent work experience; Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or other security certifications a plus.





Title: Systems Engineer/Architect
Location: Richmond/Chesterfield
Class: Full-Time (40 hrs/week)

The Systems Engineer/Architect role works independently and as a member of the Infrastructure and Architecture team, with primary responsibility to develop and evolve common technology strategies that focus on enterprise system’s engineering, capacity planning, and proactive  management and monitoring. A key aspect of this job will be to act as the liaison between Information Technology and the various business units within the enterprise to ensure that technology implementation is consistent with the needs and standards developed for Application, Information/Data, and Integration Architecture. This role is also responsible for mentoring and training junior resources to create a positive learning and training environment within the organization.  Other duties include leading engineering projects from inception to completion including creating comprehensive implementation plans for engineering projects and providing input to the development and maintenance of a detailed installation and configuration schedule.

 

Candidates should have significant experience working in enterprise level computing environments responsible for highly available and scalable infrastructure operations.  Experience should include current VMware, Windows engineering, Cisco and generic networking, and detailed SAN/NAS storage knowledge.  The demonstrated ability to integrate and creatively use highly technical concepts is an absolute must for this position.  Hardware and software updating experience is also essential for this position.  Preferred certifications include:  CCNA, MCSE (or equivalent cert) and VMware; Three (3) years VMware experience including a solid foundation with MS Exchange and overall Microsoft technologies.  Desirable skills include NetApp storage, HP Blade Server, and Cisco experience.





Title: .Net Developer
Location: Richmond/Chesterfield
Class: Full-Time (40 hrs/week)

This .Net Developer provides analysis, development and monitoring of VACU enterprise applications. Requires a close working relationship with project and application stakeholders to ensure technical and functional requirements are met.  Candidate should be experienced and knowledgeable of the C# and VB.NET development platforms and their interaction with SQL Server in an object oriented software model. Prerequisites are a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering preferred or appropriate combination of education and significant experience. Requires demonstrated software development and deployment of enterprise software applications.  High level of experience developing Microsoft Object Oriented programming including ASP, .NET and SQL Server applications.  Experience in a financial institution or overall knowledge of financial institution products and services is a plus.





Title: Workflow and Process Analyst
Location: Richmond/Chesterfield
Class: Full-Time (40 hrs/week)

This position will focus on the development of automated/integrated workflow solutions, report and integration projects and imaging processes.  This includes at a minimum: discovery and solution evaluation, requirements gathering, process development, testing, installation and production support.  It will also support existing imaging system products and third-party interfaces.  Requirements include BS in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field or equivalent technical work experience. Demonstrated technical skills including experience with SQL server 2005 integration services and structured query language. Knowledge of script writing, ETL concepts, XML, VB.NET, application development and database concepts preferred. Experience with system analysis, data mining, report writing and related tools preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office including MS Access and Excel ideal. Experience with troubleshooting system issues and end-user support beneficial. General knowledge of project management and the systems development lifecycle preferred. Strong critical and creative reasoning skills, analytic and problem-solving ability.  Ability to actively learn, create original solutions and think outside of the box.  Must be able to work independently with minimal direction and be able to handle competing priorities in a timely manner. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills desired along with strong interpersonal skills to interact with internal customers and third party vendors.  Attention to detail and strong organization skills essential.

 





Title: Contact Center Loan Analyst Supervisor
Location: Richmond/Chesterfield
Class: Full-Time (40 hrs/week)

The Contact Center Loan Analyst Supervisor’s primary function is to provide leadership and direction to the Contact Center staff and directly supervise a team of Contact-Center Loan Analyst.  In addition, the Supervisor is responsible for consistently motivating staff and developing goals to ensure that excellent member service is provided at all times. Prerequisites are a High school degree or equivalent required.  College degree is preferable or equivalent work experience. Must have prior supervisory experience or have demonstrated leadership abilities in a customer service environment.  Must have experience with computers.  Must have experience in handling customer requests and inquiries.  Experience with writing and conducting performance evaluations, recruitment, and dealing with employee discipline issues is preferred. Must have knowledge of Word and Excel.  Credit union or banking industry knowledge preferred. Must be able to operate a computer and other office equipment.  Must be skillful when working with details such as numbers and names.  Must have strong written and oral communication skills.  Must have good organizational and motivational skills. Must have the ability to effectively communicate with customers, consultants, and all-levels of management both verbally and in writing.  Must be able to work in a stressful environment while being flexible and professional.  Must have the ability to consistently provide excellent service.  Must be driven by a heartfelt desire to create a place where customers feel comfortable seeking financial advice, and trust that they will receive the right solutions.  Must have ability to give direction, perform multiple tasks, and be creative.   





Title: Branch Customer Service Representative
Location: Richmond/Glenside Branch
Class: Full-Time (40 hrs/week)

Must be available to work between the hours of 8:30 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. Monday - Friday, plus 2-3 Saturdays per month. Saturday hours are 8:30 a.m - 1:00 p.m.

The successful candidate will provide quality service to members; open new accounts, assist members with loan requests, provide information and meet all related member needs through establishing member relationship proficiencies to ensure transactions and recommendations are in keeping with sales and service process. Requirements: public contact experience, such as prior branch teller/customer service experience, at a financial institution; satisfactory PC skills and excellent communication skills.

Must have reliable transportation to assigned locations and must be able to work the varying assigned branch hours.





Title: Contact Center Account Consultants
Location: Richmond/Chesterfield
Class: Full-Time (40 hrs/week)

Working hours are 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Monday - Friday. All positions must be able to work 1 Saturday per quarter from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon.

 

The successful candidates will receive and answer telephone inquiries regarding deposit and loan accounts while promoting credit union products and services and consistently giving quality service to our customers and co-workers. Must have previous customer contact experience in a busy financial institution or retail outfit, specifically in handling customer requests and inquiries. Previous PC experience required. Must have prior automated call center experience. 





Title: Switchboard Operator
Location: Richmond/Chesterfield
Class: Part-Time (30 hrs/week)

Hours for this position are Monday-Friday

from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

 

The Switchboard Operator offers quality service to our members and co-workers by directing all telephone calls in a courteous, speedy, and helpful manner, with a positive and professional image of the Credit Union. Prerequisites are a high school diploma or equivalent preferred. A minimum of two years as a PBX operator of a large corporation, preferably in a financial institution; one year as a receptionist or related office work preferredMust be flexible, have good oral communications skills, and possess the ability to work at a very fast pace and under pressure. Must be able to work with minimum supervision. Must project a professional manner, have a pleasant personality, and work well with others. Must maintain a good attendance record.

 





Title: Branch Customer Service Representative
Location: Farmville/Farmville Branch
Class: Full-Time (40 hrs/week)

Must be available to work between the hours of 8:30 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. Monday - Friday, plus 2-3 Saturdays per month. Saturday hours are 8:30 a.m - 1:00 p.m.

This position is for our Cosner's Corner Branch.

Previous cash handling and strong PC skills required. Prior teller experience a plus. Must be available to work Monday - Friday, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m., plus 2-3 Saturdays per month. Saturday hours are 8:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.





Title: On Deck Tellers
Location: Richmond/Area Branches
Class: Full-Time (40 hrs/week)

Previous cash handling and strong PC skills required. Prior teller experience a plus. Must be able to work between the hours of 8:30 a.m. - 6:30 p.m., Monday - Friday, plus 2-3 Saturdays per month. Saturday hours are 8:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
