Virginia Credit Union’s
Dorothy J. Hall Scholarship Program

Each year Virginia Credit Union recognizes outstanding student members of all ages through its Dorothy J. Hall Scholarship program. For the 2009-2010 academic year, Virginia Credit Union will award 25 college scholarships up to $2,500.

To be eligible for 2009 scholarships, student applicants must:

  • be a member of Virginia Credit Union, not just any credit union in Virginia
  • have joined Virginia Credit Union by September 30, 2008
  • be the primary member of their own account (not just a joint owner on someone else’s account). Applicant's account must be in good standing
  • be a rising college freshman, sophomore, junior or senior who will be taking at least 9 credit hours per semester at an accredited college or university

If you are unsure of your membership status, please contact Member Services.

The Dorothy J. Hall Scholarship application is available online (pdf), in our branches, or you may contact us to request one be sent to you by mail. Applications must be received by the close of business Tuesday, March 31, 2009.
